I had some wool which I tried to wash and hand card myself, and it was a nightmare. Then there was trying to make yarn from what small pieces of roving I could eek out using a drop spindle. Let me say that I acquired a much greater appreciation for those who go from sheep to garment. So keep at it. it's a craft that is more like art.
